The city of Venice, Florida will buy a digital information kiosk for Centennial Park to provide visitors information on and directions to stores and historic sites in the city's downtown, according to a Herald Tribune report.

Kara Morgan, CEO of Venice MainStreet, a nonprofit, asked the city council for $30,000 to purchase and operate the kiosk. Ed Lavallee, city manager, advised the board to put the purchase in its 2023/2024 budget.

The city will make the purchase through its bidding process.
