Vendors team on gaming machines for Europe

February 25, 2004

LONDON -- Gaming & Entertainment Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Gaming & Entertainment Group Inc. and developer of central-server gaming systems and downloadable games, has forged an agreement with Electrocoin to develop a range of video-based gaming machines for deployment in the UK and European market.

Electrocoin will be the manufacturer and distributor, while Gaming & Entertainment Group will provide its central-server software platform and library of existing and future games, according to a news release. The two companies will share in the revenues and profits derived from the placement of these products.

The initial product range, which was introduced in the London area recently, includes a suite of video poker games for the Amusement With Prizes (AWP) sector, followed by the release of a specially developed low-cost Fixed Odds Betting Terminal (FOBT) for use in UK licensed betting offices.

"We are delighted to formalize our partnership with Electrocoin," said Tibor Vertes, CEO of Gaming & Entertainment Group. "Electrocoin is one of the UK's market leaders in the gaming machine industry. We have spent 12 months developing a brand-new software platform to power the new products, while Electrocoin has developed a complementary range of cabinets and kiosks that are manufactured locally in the UK."

There are approximately 300,000 AWP machines throughout the UK in arcades, clubs and pubs. FOBT's are installed in licensed betting offices and offer a range of casino-style games including roulette and keno.
