NEW DELHI -- U.S.-based transport communications and systems company Arinc is establishing a base here for products including check-in kiosks, on-board Internet systems and telecom networks for airlines.
Arinc senior director Yun Sik Chong said in an article in The Times of India,"With the Indian civil aviation space opening up, more international airlines coming into the country and the government deciding to upgrade the airport infrastructure, we feel there is a growing business opportunity in India."
He said, "We will start with setting up our base stations across the country to provide seamless radio communications for the airlines." Chong noted Arinc is in the process of mapping the entire country and identifying radio gaps in the Indian skies.
