Never heard of beat meat? Visitors to Japan are getting a taste at a vending machine near a train station, according to a report in The Mainichi.
The machine at the entrance to the Tazawako Ichi store near JR Tazawako Station offers meat from local bears. The machine advertises "black bear" and "bear meat" in 250-gram packs for 2,200 yen ($17).
A local restaurant, Soba Goro, installed the machine last November.
A local hunting club captures the bears in the mountains.
