Vehicle registration kiosks available in Florida

Polk County, Florida residents can renew vehicle registrations and print a registration card and license sticker at kiosks in both the Davenport and Lakeland offices, according to a report in the Ledger.

Customers need their PIN number on their renewal notice, or their license plate number, to use the kiosk, along with a birth date and a form of payment. The kiosk can serve customers in English and Spanish. 

Transactions since April have already surpassed $100,000, with 69% of the payments completed with a credit card and the balance with with cash. The average transaction time is 2.24 minutes.

The county tax collector's office launched the kiosks.
