Those needing to register a vehicle in Maui now have another option, a self-serve kiosk on Wailuku opened by the county in the Maui Lani Safeway.
Vehicle owners can use the kiosk to renew registration, paying via credit or debit card, and get registration cards and emblems on the spot, according to a Hawaii News Now report.
It is one of at least eight kiosks serving vehicle operators in the state. The county plans to roll out more self-service vehicle registration kiosks in Lahaina and Kihei by month's end.
"These new terminals will save customers time and be open conveniently at night and on weekends," Maui Mayor Michael Victorino told Hawaii News Now. "I'm excited any time we expand services for our customers."
