The Dispatch: A Norfolk, Va.-based company hopes to launch touchscreen kiosks in its resort, and town officials discussed a proposal last week that would place one in the visitor's center.
The town's Tourism Commission listened to a presentation by Barry Gauch and William Somerndyke Jr. of Hot Spot Marketing about ATM-sized machines that allow visitors to access information about Ocean City.
The marketing representatives anticipate having about 60 machines in the resort after local restaurants, hotels and businesses buy into the idea, Somerndyke said.
