ARLINGTON, Va. -- The
US AirwaysE-Ticket check-in kiosk has arrived at New York's La Guardia Airport, allowing customers to purchase tickets, check bags, select seats and obtain boarding passes.Ten US Airways kiosks have been installed at La Guardia, with six more scheduled for installation in January 2001.
E-Ticket was introduced at Washington's Ronald Reagan National and Boston's Logan International airports earlier this year. The units use touchscreen technology and offer check-in at the airport for an electronically ticketed domestic reservation on US Airways, the US Airways Express carriers, US Airways Shuttle and MetroJet.
As an incentive to use the kiosk, Dividend Miles members will earn 1,000 bonus miles the first time they use the E-Ticket kiosk to purchase tickets and check-in for flights or just check-in. Thereafter, members will receive 50 bonus miles each time they use the kiosks.
