University of Kentucky health care system UKHealthCare has deployed a new kiosk to allow patients to connect with health research. Patients can use the kiosk to join ResearchMatch, which allows them to participate in health research, according to the press release.

Many health care studies end too early due to small numbers of participants, and many potential candidates cannot find the right study, the release said. The goal of ResearchMatch is to bridge this gap by connecting the right participants to the right studies.

The UK Center for Clinical and Translational Science is currently hosting the sign-up kiosk. It is open to people of all ages and health statuses and is designed to be confidential, according to the release.
