University of Delaware improves parking with kiosks

The University of Delaware has deployed three new pay-by-plate parking kiosks. Students and visitors can reserve a spot by entering their license plate number, according to an announcement from the University of Delaware.

The kiosks accept credit card payments and allow the user to purchase parking time ranging from one hour to seven days. The kiosk sends vehicle information and parking duration to a license plate recognition system for enforcement.

Student organizations or departments can purchase parking for guests at a discount, according to the announcement.
