CHICAGO - United Airlines (NYSE:UAL) continued the deployment of its EasyCheck-in kiosk on March 7, launching the service at San Francisco International Airport. The airline placed 23 kiosks at the airport's lobby, rotunda, and curbside area.
Using the EasyCheck-in kiosks, United passengers can obtain boarding passes and request/obtain upgrades, and check out their frequent-flyer miles. About 500 passengers took advantage of the service in the first few hours it was available in San Francisco, according to United officials.
United now has kiosks at airports in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City. The airline will continue rolling out units throughout 2002.
