Octane Coffee has sought a permit to open a standalone, automated drive thru coffee store in Waukesha, Wisconsin, according to a gmtoday.com report.

The Pewaukee, Wisconsin based startup plans to operate the machine in an 8-by-20-foot shipping container in a parking lot on Westwood Drive, where Battle House Tactical Laser Tag, Point Burger Bar, Veloce Indoor Speedway and RiverGlen Christian Church are located.

The shipping container will hold "industrial robotics" to make a variety of coffee, tea and juice drinks. Customers will place orders and be served by a contactless pickup system.

The store will be staffed initially but become fully unattended. An employee will visit the machine for 30 minutes per day to stock and clean the unit.

The machine will be open 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day for the first four-to-six months, after which it will be open 24/7.
