UK soccer club to automate ticket purchases

LONDON and DALLAS -- Aston Villa F.C., one of the UK's top soccer clubs, has selected Trintech Group Plc's PayWare Merchant software to automate the processing and distribution of match tickets bought using a debit or credit card at an unattended kiosk in the stadium.

The kiosk will print tickets on the spot, avoiding long waits at ticket sales desks. The PayWare solution is being jointly installed by Trintech's established reseller, Synchro Systems.

"We are happy to have chosen Trintech's PayWare Merchant solution," said Dave Money at Aston Villa F.C.

"The ability for our fans to purchase tickets at an automated kiosk will help speed the ticketing process for credit card holders. The system also allows us to cut down on costly paperwork and manpower spent managing ticket sales."
