UK PPE vending machines offer COVID-19 test kit

Stop The Spread Solutions, a U.K. company that provides touchless PPE vending machines, has added Rapid SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Test kits to its vended offerings, according to a press release.

The user waves their hand over the image of the desired product on the front of the machine, then waves their contactless credit card near the contactless payment reader to pay. The delivery chute cover automatically opens near the bottom of the machine and the user can take the boxed test kit. Results are available within 15 minutes on the user's mobile phone or on the device itself. The kits are approved by the U.K. government and have over 98% accuracy, according to the release.

The kits retail for £39.99 ($53.69) and are available in all STS machines.

"Offering these rapid testing kits allows people to achieve some peace of mind, as well as have physical proof of an immediate result," Henry Farrelly, managing director at STS, said in the release.
