UK Jobcentres project completed

BIRMINGHAM, England -- Kiosk manufacturer NeoProducts Ltd. has wrapped up the deployment of one of the kiosk industry's largest projects, a 9,000-kiosk project for UK Jobcentres employment agencies.

Jobpoints kiosks are located in more than 1,000 UK Jobcentres throughout England. The kiosks offer regularly updated information on job openings nationwide. Jobpoints replaces the system of bulletin boards with local job listings utilized for decades by UK Jobcentres.

The project, which earned Computingmagazine's Most Innovative e-Business Project of the Year award for 2001 (See story: Kiosk project earns UK Jobcentres kudos), began rolling out in early 2001.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, and Birmingham, England, NeoProducts manufactures kiosks primarily for government deployments. NeoProducts has also rolled out kiosk projects for government agencies in Australia and Hong Kong.
