Uber deploys breathalyzer kiosks for concert goers

Uber is helping tipsy concert goers by deploying breathalyzer kiosks that automatically call an Uber if the user's blood alcohol content is too high.

October 5, 2015

Attendees of the Austin City Limits Music Festival who had a little too much to drink can test their blood alcohol levels with breathalyzer kiosks. These kiosks are deployed by Uber and will automatically call an Uber car if the user's blood content is above the legal limit, according to a reportby Fox 7.

The kiosks are placed around the bars in downtown Austin along Sixth and Rainey Streets. In addition, the kiosks will provide a $10 credit towards the ride.

The overall goal of this deployment was to promote safety and reduce wrecks and deaths caused by drunk driving after the festival.
