Twin Cities hotels to install InfoStar kiosks

March 16, 2005

EDINA, Minn - InfoStar Concierge announced today that 16 Twin Cities hotels have agreed to provide their guests with InfoStar Concierge's electronic local-business reference service. All located along the southwest I-494 and Crosstown 62 corridors, the hotels will each install the company's touchscreen kiosks as a courtesy for their guests who want to find nearby dining, entertainment, shopping, transportation, and other services. "These first 16 hotels have approximately 700,000 guests annually, so we expect to be directing a lot of new customers to local businesses," said Terrence Korupp, InfoStar's president. He continued, "Though the concept of delivering geographically pertinent search results isn't new, we've combined all the categories that a traveler would need into a single, simple touchscreen interface. Populated with this critical mass of information, each kiosk becomes an information conduit which Holiday Inn, Sofitel, Marriott, Hilton, and other major hotels all believe their guests will use extensively." Founded in 2004, InfoStar Concierge is a Twin Cities-based company whose touchscreen kiosks identify local businesses that provide services travelers need and then show how to get there from the hotel.
