ANKARA, Turkey -- Turkey's Tourism Ministry, seeking new ways to attract international visitors to the European-Asian country, on Sept. 18 announced plans to deploy a system of electronic information kiosks.
Turkish Tourism Minister Mustafa Tasar told the Turkish Daily Newsthat the government would deploy the kiosks at 27 locations within the country and another 23 overseas.
The kiosks will provide tourism information and access to hotel reservations. The system will be available in six languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Russian, and Spanish.
Tasar said the project will launch sometime in October and cost the government $1 million.
