Tru-Vu Monitors Inc., a supplier of industrial-grade LCD monitors and touchscreens, has released a 21.5-inch waterproof sunlight readable LCD display designed to operate in direct, bright sunlight or in other high ambient light conditions, according to a press release. Features of the SRMW-21.5Z monitors include:
- 1920 by 1080 full HD resolution and 1,000 nits of brightness, four times brighter than a standard monitor or TV.
- The waterproof stainless steel enclosure ensures the monitor will withstand rain, snow, sleet, seawater and more.
- Operating temperature is -4° to 158°F.
- Anti-reflective glass over the LCD panel protects the screen from damage.
- An ambient light sensor adjusts the screen brightness automatically depending on ambient light conditions.
- An auto re-start function ensures the monitor automatically resumes operation after a power loss when power is restored.
