A strategic five-year partnership between Trip.com Group and Cityline was officially launched in Hong Kong, with the aim of transforming the event ticketing experience for travelers, according to a press release. This marks the first collaboration of its kind for both companies, combining Trip.com's global reach with Cityline's technology and solutions.

The partnership integrates online ticket purchasing through Trip.com and Ctrip platforms with physical ticket collection via Cityline's extensive network of self-service kiosks in Hong Kong, Macau, and Mainland China. This new model has already been used for events such as the Ayumi Hamasaki Asia Tour 2025 in Hong Kong and the G-DRAGON 2025 World Tour. It will also be used for upcoming events like The Fact Music Awards 2025 in Macau.

The collaboration aligns with a growing trend of entertainment-driven travel, as highlighted in the Trip.com Group's "Momentum 2025: Travel's Next Big Trends" report, which found that 66% of travelers are organizing trips around live events.

"Our collaboration with Trip.com Group marks a deep integration of online and offline ticketing experiences," Marcus Lam, executive director and general manager of Cityline, said in the release. "This powerful alliance will undoubtedly enhance the traveler experience, allowing users from more regions to enjoy the diverse performances in Hong Kong, Macau and the Greater Bay Area."

The partnership is expected to expand the presence of both companies in overseas markets by providing Cityline access to a wider user base and strengthening Trip.com's event offerings.
