Trends becomes 1st US dispensary to launch AI-powered wellness technology

Trends, a cannabis dispensary in Queens, New York, has launched Relief IQ, an in-store, AI-powered wellness and guidance platform. The dispensary is the first in the United States to feature the technology, which is designed to help customers navigate product choices, according to a press release.
The platform, available on tablets, kiosks or mobile devices, asks customers about their wellness goals. It then synthesizes publicly available cannabinoid research to suggest product formulations that are currently in stock.
"As New York's cannabis industry evolves, we're committed to leading with innovation," Rodney "Hurricane" Carter Jr., CEO of Trends, said in the release. "Relief IQ represents the next step in how customers can explore cannabis, blending technology with personal service so every purchase feels confident and intentional."
Relief IQ is powered by Gojitech and is intended for educational purposes only. The dispensary also hosts cultural events and partners with other organizations to promote education and community empowerment.
