Traveleze.com offers travel info via Olea kiosks

June 17, 2004

MONTEREY, Calif. -- TravelEze.com has launched a line of Visitor Information and Lobby Concierge Kiosks. The kiosks provide real-time access to the TravelEze.com travel database, containing 15 categories of links to the websites of travel-related businesses in any given city.

Each kiosk provides consumers with information about lodging, activities and dining. The kiosks also offer kiosk-to-business driving directions from MapQuest, and TravelEze's Push-to-Call technology, which allows users to place free telephone calls to those businesses for reservations.

City governments, as well as convention and visitor's bureaus, are able to employ the kiosks to decentralize their visitor information to multiple locations in their cities.

Business owners can place the kiosks at their location to increase walk-in traffic. Hotels can use them to provide or enhance existing concierge service.

TravelEze teamed up with Olea Exhibits Inc. to deploy the kiosks in the Monterey area. Olea's La Jolla kiosk design was used in this deployment.

The La Jolla offers a blend of ruggedness and beauty, making it the kiosk of choice for locations like hotels and tourist spots, according to Frank Olea, vice president of Olea Exhibits. "We're very pleased to see that the La Jolla has been such a success in both pay-per-use Internet applications and other information systems," he said.
