TravelersBox, an airport kiosk that allows travelers to exchange cash for iTunes credits, Starbucks vouchers, digital currency such as PayPal and e-payment services such as WeChat, is focusing its expansion efforts on Asia, according to CNET. Leftover change is a bigger hassle for international travelers in Asia than those traveling domestically in the U.S. or much of Europe.
The company has kiosks in airports in Turkey, Canada, Georgia, Italy, Israel, Japan and the Philippines. It plans to install kiosks in Hong Kong, Australia, India, Indonesia and Malaysia soon.
The company's kiosks already support Chinese e-payment services such as Baidu Wallet and WeChat. Plans are in the works to support China's biggest e-payment system, Alipay.
