WALLINGFORD, Conn. -- TransAct Technologies Inc., producer of transaction-based printers, has received a follow-on order worth $2.2 million from GTech, a global information-technology company. The latest order is for TransAct's thermal lottery printer.
TransAct will ship the units during the third quarter of 2003.
GTech provides software, networks and professional services. The company's core market is the lottery industry, with a growing presence in financial services-transaction processing.
TransAct designs, manufactures and markets transaction-based printers under the Ithaca and Magnetec names. It also markets related spare parts and service.
TransAct printers are used worldwide to provide receipts, tickets, coupons, register journals and other documents. TransAct focuses on the point-of-sale, and gaming and lottery markets.
