Tranax announces new kiosk line

May 3, 2005

FREMONT, Calif. - Tranax Technologies, Inc. announced in a news release the launch of the first in a new line of non-cash dispensing kiosks. The product is focused on delivering the hardware and software capabilities to meet the needs of a range of transaction-based self-service applications.

Incorporating many of the features found standard on a retail ATM, the new Tranax kiosk delivers the functionality to support a wide range of applications, including bill payment, ticketing, instant issue card dispensing, money order printing, and more. The standard configuration includes a 15-inch touchscreen, receipt printer, MCR and barcode scanner, with the additional options of a ticket printer, card dispenser or money order printer.

"As we look forward to the future of Tranax and the self-service industry in general, it was a natural progression for us to create a new set of products which offer consumers the value, reliability, and security found in our existing ATM products in a non-cash dispensing terminal", said Tranax president and chief executive officer Dr. Hansup Kwon. "We have taken the time to look at the key characteristics of an ATM and how they can be incorporated into a kiosk, as well as evaluating the needs of the market in terms of a terminal that provides transaction-based services - from this we created a product that delivers what we feel is one of the most robust kiosks available."

In addition to the new standard kiosk product, Tranax is also offering custom hardware and software development for self-service applications in a range of vertical markets.
