WEST CHESTER, Pa. -- MEI, developer of electronic-payment systems, said its bill acceptor has been integrated into Tranax's Mini-Bank 2500 enhanced ATM.
The Mini-Bank 2500 has a flexible hardware and software platform that can be expanded to offer retail services such as phone cards, prepaid wireless, money transfer, check cashing, stamps and ticket sales, according to a news release.
The MEI bill acceptor, along with a ticket printer and card dispenser, can be added to the Mini-Bank 2500's multi-function topper. The multi-function topper makes it possible for retailers to attract customers and generate additional revenue and profit by offering customers a variety of new applications.
"Since many of the applications offered in the Mini-Bank 2500 cater to cash customers, a reliable bill acceptor was a priority," said Eric Sternberg, vice president of marketing for Tranax. "MEI bill acceptors have a reputation for quality and proven track record in the retail environment."
"Tranax's leading position in the ATM marketplace is clearly a result of its sharp focus on and understanding of customer needs," said Fiona Naughton, global business development manager of MEI. "In responding to customer requirements, Tranax has delivered some of the most innovative ATMs available."
TheTriple DES (TDES) and WOSA/XFS compliant Mini-Bank 2500 operates on the Microsoft Windows XP embedded operating system.
