Tourism officials using roadside kiosks to boost business

The Warren County (N.Y.) Tourism Department has contracted with the state's Thruway Authority to run the county's winter tourism commercials on video kiosks in three Thruway rest areas,according to The Post-Star newspaper in Glens Falls, N.Y.

The rest areas, in Sloatsburg, New Baltimore and Plattekill, are off northbound Thruway lanes and the tourism commercials are aimed at increasing tourism, primarily for visitors from the south heading north.
