CYPRESS, Calif. - TouchVision Inc.has been selected by the Harris County Hospital District in Houston to develop and deploy a network of 60 interactive kiosk systems to be installed at 16 public healthcare facilities.
The systems will be used in Web-based patient training sessions and to deliver educational content about healthcare.
The deployment of the interactive kiosk project was financed by a grant from the Telecommunication Infrastructure Fund Board, according to Lynn Friedman, program manager, Development Center, in the system's Development and Community Education/Outreach Department. The cost of the system was not disclosed.
Houston's Harris County Hospital District is the nation's fourth largest public metropolitan health system.
TouchVision provides kiosk networks in the healthcare industry and several others, including retail, entertainment, tourism and transit. TouchVision is a six-year-old firm based in Cypress, Calif. It has about 20 employees.
