TouchSource launches patient check-in kiosks

TouchSource Inc. has partnered with tablet kiosk company Lilitab to develop a desktop kiosk for patient check-ins at hospitals.

The kiosk consists of a tablet attached to a stand and is designed to have a small footprint, according to the announcement. The stand can be rotated up to 180 degrees and the tablet can be titled approximately 22 degrees backward or forward, according to the announcement.

Patients can use the kiosk to check in for appointments, remit co-pays and review insurance information. The device can be also be customized to integrate with various electronic health records databases and check-in applications.
