Touchscreen maker intro's industrial grade rack mount

CHICAGO - Touchscreen manufacturer TouchSystems Corp. has introduced a rack mount unit target industrial and manufacturing environments.

The Rack-Mount Touch PC, according to the Austin, Texas-based company, offers a compact space-saving design housing a computer and monitor. Available in 19-inch and 17-inch display sizes, the units are priced from $1,800.

The new equipment, which will be offered to customers in April, features easy front access to system controls, an optional lock, and is available with resistive or capacitive touchscreen technology.

The announcement was part of Chicago Manufacturing Week, held March 3-6.
