Touchscreen kiosk technology benefits hotels, guests

September 23, 2008

PARSIPPANY, N.J. — Kommunity Kiosk Inc., a leader in local area information software and self-service kiosks for the travel and tourism industry, has introduced Anywhere and Everywhere touchscreen technology. Using computer kiosks located in hotel lobbies and on front desks, guests can access area restaurants, attractions, shopping and services, and directions.
According to a news release, guests will no longer need to rely on inaccurate directions from Internet Web sites. The information contained on the kiosk in the hotel lobby can be accessed remotely via the Internet throughout the property or prior to check in anywhere in the world.

Hotels license KKI Inc.'s software to create and host the site, and can customize their individual kiosks to contain as much information as they would like for their guests.

"The Kommunity Kiosk is a great way to manage all my local area information and directions," said Bhavind Papaiya, Comfort Inn general manager in Hackettstown N.J. "We have had a positive response from our guests and local businesses."
