Touchscreen kiosk simplifies search for India land records

Express India: A touchscreen kiosk has simplified the process of viewing land records in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, where searching for records used to take days. While the kiosk can be used for viewing the land records free of cost, users can also request for a copy of the record from the adjoining computer office, already established in all districts. The kiosk has been developed by IBM and the software has been specially designed in Hindi by NIC, Uttar Pradesh to suit the local requirements.
