Top-up features added to bill payment kiosk

October 27, 2004

BURNABY, British Columbia - Info Touch Technologies' new kiosk-based product bundles long-distance, directory assistance and mobile content services into one top-up product for a bill payment partner. These products are now available on payment kiosks in wireless retail and convenience stores in more than 280 locations in 14 states including New Mexico, North Carolina and California.

Powered by Info Touch's Surfnet Premiere software, the kiosks enable a base of approximately 120,000 existing Info Touch kiosk customers to pay their wireless bills and purchase long distance, directory assistance and mobile content services in cash and/or credit card. Charges are deducted from customers' accounts with every call.

"Since piloting this application three months ago, more than 45,000 customers have used it successfully," said Hamed Shahbazi, chairman and CEO of Info Touch Technologies. "The service has considerably enhanced our bill pay offering and is a new source of revenue for Info Touch, its retail partners and other stakeholders."

[Editor's note: Info Touch Technologies became Tio Networks in April 2006.]
