TIO Networks rolling out billpay kiosks at Best Buy

January 17, 2010

TIO Networks Corp. recently announced plans to roll out self-service bill payment and financial services kiosks to Best Buy Stores across the United States.

Best Buy customers will be able to use the kiosks to make expedited bill payments on their wireless, utility, cable and other accounts through the touchscreen and Internet-connected machines. The cash- and debit-accepting kiosks already have been put in place in the Atlanta, Las Vegas, Miami and Phoenix markets, according to a release from TIO.

"We are thrilled to provide the retail chain with the largest volume of wireless customer activations the opportunity to offer bill payment services as an extension of the wireless services", said Hamed Shahbazi, Chairman and CEO of TIO Networks. "Consumers who pay bills in person have traditionally tended to pay such bills in the same location where they acquired their phones. With this initiative, Best Buy now offers a full complement of expedited bill payment services for the nation's largest wireless operators."
