TIO Networks brings mobile billpay to PG&E customers in California

TIO Networks Corp.today announced that it is launching a mobile bill payment platform that will allow nearly six million energy customers in Northern and Central California to make bill payments by using their mobile phones.
According to Chris Ericksen, senior vice president for TIO Networks, the mobile bill payment application will be free to download from Apple's App Store, and will run on any iPhone OS powered devices such as iPod Touch, iPad and iPhone.
The mobile application will allow Pacific Gas and Electric Company customers to make payments using their credit or debit cards facilitated with the help of Denver-based cloud computing application developer IPCommerce. Customers will also be able to make payments using their bank accounts. It is expected that subsequent versions of the application will include payment types such as PayPal and other electronic payment systems.
