The final distribution of online tickets for this year's World Cup soccer tournament in Japan and South Korea began on Wednesday with interactive kiosks taking on the playmaker's role.
Ticketing kiosks were installed at 12 different ticket centers, according to the Yomiuri Shimbun. The ticketing centers distributed the final round of tickets offered for this year's tournament, which were sold online on a first-come, first-served basis.
Some complaints were lodged against the system, however, with customers complaining that they had to queue up to the kiosk just to find out if their ticket application had been accepted.
The World Cup kicks off on May 31, when defending champion France takes on Senegal in Seoul. The 32-team tournament wraps up on June 30 in Yokohama.
