Residents of Tyler, Texas can get information about health and wellness at a health information kiosk at their local public library, according to a KLVT-TV report.
Aleya Stone, reference librarian at the Tyler Public Library, said the kiosk, which includes headphones that allow users to listen to videos, makes it easy for people who have a hard time asking about medical information. The kiosk provides access to databases such as Medline Plus, Tox Town and Genetics Home Reference.
The kiosk has been supported by federal funds through the National Library of Medicine of the National Institutes of Health, according to the library.
