Tennessee motorists now have access to 72 iPad kiosks to help them more quickly renew their driver's licenses. The state's Department of Safety and Homeland Security spent $80,000 to deploy the tablets in 26 DMVs across the state, according to ubergizmo.com.
Dubbed ASSETS (Automatic Self-Service Electronic Terminals), the kiosks allow drivers to fill out forms electronically and make their payments via debit or credit cards. Motorists then receive their license within minutes.
