MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Uniguest of Tennessee, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Showintel Networks, Inc.(OTC Bulletin Board: SWNW) says it has completed contracts with more than 20 hotel sites in the Memphis area market and will be expanding to Nashville, Tenn.
"The Memphis hotel market has been extremely receptive to providing our Concierge Station as a valuable free-to-guest amenity and we are anxious to begin our expansion into Nashville," said Shawn Thomas, president and chief executive of Uniguest, in a news release.
According to Thomas, Uniguest will complete 25 installations in Memphis in the next 30 days and has already entered into its first contract to install its Concierge Station in a Hampton
Inn & Suites location in Nashville.
According to the release, Uniguest's Concierge Station combines an Internet access computer with printing capabilities, and a self-serve concierge support tool with a customized online city guide that features online maps, menus, restaurant menus, 360-degree virtual
tours and more.
Uniguest's Concierge Station also serves as an expansion opportunity for Showintel Network's Media Management System, which allows customized content to be digitally uploaded to remote locations. Showintel installs kiosks in theater lobbies for the presentation of movie trailers and other advertisements. The system could be used at hotels, according to the release, to provide free-to-guest special programming, high-speed Internet access and movie-on-demand services.
In July, Showintel Networks said it had received $200,000 from angel investors, to be used for kiosks at 11 theaters in Tennessee, Arkansas, Missouri and Illinois. With those kiosks, the company said it would have kiosks at 16 theaters at five states.
