Tennessee county shifts to kiosk-only driver license renewals

The Houston County Clerk's office in Tennessee has transitioned to a kiosk system for driver license renewals and duplicates, according to a Houston County Herald report. Residents can now utilize a Tennessee State Driver License Kiosk located within the office to complete these transactions.
The kiosk accepts credit or debit cards only and offers a self-service option for eligible renewals and duplicates of non-commercial driver licenses. While the kiosk may offer a quicker process for some, it presents challenges for residents who prefer to pay with cash or check, requiring them to travel to another location to complete their transactions.
The Houston County Clerk's office staff remains available to assist residents in using the kiosk.
