Tennessee county deploys vehicle registration renewal kiosk

Motorists in Sullivan County, Tennessee can renew a vehicle registration at a self-service kiosk at the front of Food City's store on North Eastman Road Kingsport, according to a TimesNews report.

Drivers can renew their tag by scanning either their license or renewal notice at the kiosk operated by Business Information Systems. They can also scan the barcode of their prior year's registration. Once the vehicle has been selected on the touchscreen, they can pay via credit card and the kiosk will print the renewal decal.

There is a $3 transaction fee and a 90-cent credit card fee.

Users can also renew online or by mail.
