Telequip announces new coin dispenser

September 20, 2005

SALEM, N.H. - Telequip Corp., supplier of coin dispensing solutions, announced in a news release their newest product offering, the T-Flex coin dispenser.

The T-Flex boasts both serial and USB capability, giving customers access to today's technology as well as the ability to upgrade for the future without having to make an additional purchase. Off to a robust start, Telequip has already shipped more than 500 T-Flex units for self-checkout and front counter markets throughout the United States and abroad.

With proven ability to save between five and seven seconds off of every cash transaction, the T-Flex can move more customers through drive-thru and in-store lines faster. According to recent studies, speed of service is one of the top criteria that customers consider when making a purchasing decision. "If a customer enters your store and sees a long line, chances are they're going to turn around and leave. The T-Flex shortens customer waiting time because the cashier isn't wasting valuable time counting change," said Lauri Suermann, Telequip's director of sales. "Additionally, getting more customers through your store will result in increased profits."

Along with saving time and money, the T-Flex helps to reduce cashier errors and shrink. "It's an extremely effective loss-prevention tool," said Suermann. "Since the dispenser automatically calculates and dispenses the change, there is less chance of cashier error. Because the coin canister is locked, it gives managers the added assurance of keeping cashier hands out of the change," she said.

The T-Flex also features optional in-lane canister loading, allowing users to easily drop coins through the top of the canister cover.
