Tecumseh, OK, set to deploy drive-by bill-payment kiosk

June 9, 2014

The city of Tecumseh, Oklahoma has approved the installation of a drive-by automated bill-payment kiosk at the back of City Hall, reports Countywide & Sun.

Tecumseh City Council voted to spend $35,000 for the kiosk, which will take payments by check, credit and debit cards, money order and cash, Countrywide & Sun said.

The agenda for the Council’s June 2 meeting said the City wanted the drive-thru/walk-up kiosk to accept payments for court fees and utility bills. A presentation for the kiosk was made by AdComp Systems Group.

According to Countrywide & Sun, Bob Smith of AdComp Systems Group told the City Council the system would integrate with the City’s billing software. City Manager Jimmy Stokes said his main reason for looking at the system was to better serve handicapped customers.
