Tech partners team with Sodexo on UK hospital automated food court

Patrons at Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent in the U.K. will soon have access to an automated food court provided by Worldline, a global provider of payments services, SV365 Technologies, a provider of foodservice solutions, and Sodexo PLC, a provider of facilities management and foodservice solutions, according to a press release.

The collaboration will launch a 24/7 Deli to provide frontline healthcare workers with continuous access to fresh food at any time of the day or night.

The 24/7 Deli will feature touchscreen ordering and cashless payment systems.

Highlights include:

• Android terminals will accept all payments and have the ability to accept chip and pin transactions that meet the latest PCI and PTS security standards.
• Interchange ++ pricing will allow customers to pay the correct rates for transactions, whatever the currency.
• Next-day settlement of funds will allow merchants to retrieve their funds the day after a purchase is made.
