Tech firm to deploy vending machine offering Macau culture books

Visitors to Macau will be able to buy books about the region's culture from a vending machine, according to an asgam.com report.

APE Smart Commerce Limited, a subsidiary of Asia Pioneer Entertainment Holdings Limited, a Macau-based gaming product distributor, and APE brand, KatKatMall, will use the company's vending machines to offer Macau cultural books to promote Macau's culture and history to visitors. The machines are all equipped with electronic payment methods.

In March APE introduced a vending machine to supplement its gaming interests in response to revenue pressures caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic. The machines sell daily necessities in Macau hotels, malls, colleges and public transportation hubs.

The company also plans to launch a "Buy Online, Pick-Up in Machine" vending machine.
