TeamLinux revamps business, growth plans

DAYTON, Ohio --

TeamLinux Corporationis reorganizing and adding professional staff to promote company growth and make its products and services more accessible to its target kiosk and open systems markets. The company is relocating its West Coast office, adding a new western regional manager and is spinning off its computer hardware sales operations.

"TeamLinux has taken decisive steps to optimize our business and market potential," said Dan Maher, TeamLinux chairman and CEO. "The adjustments we're announcing today reflect a consolidation and maximizing of the several acquisitions we have made over the past few months. We want to focus on those resources and business opportunities that will enable us to achieve our aggressive growth plans. These changes will have only a minimal impact on our projected short-term financial results."

The TeamLinux western region office has been relocated from Orange County, California, to San Jose. Selcuk N. Caglar is joining the company as western regional manager . Caglar comes to TeamLinux from Vestel USA Inc. where he served as president and CEO. During his tenure at Vestel, Caglar also held senior marketing and business development positions

As part of the reorganization, TeamLinux also announces it is spinning off its operations focused on the sales of computer hardware. This decision will provide more concentration on its interactive kiosk, Internet appliance, and open systems and services operations.
