A Target store in Dorchester, Massachusetts has shut down all shelf-checkout kiosks and is directing customers to a cashier line, according to a report by WBZ News Radio.

There are conflicting reports as to the reason behind the shutdown. Staff said in the report that Target turned off the kiosks due to a large amount of theft. Management said it was doing it to prioritize face-to-face interactions with customers.
