RANDOLPH, N.J. - Kiosk deployment projects remain steady despite the current economic woes, according to a recently completed study undertaken by Kiosk Business magazine.
The magazine will unveil complete survey results and discuss how the survey was assembled during a presentation at KioskCom 2002 on March 5 in Orlando, Fla.
According to the survey, some kiosk plans have been scaled back because of the sluggish economy, but very few have been cancelled, and 34 percent of respondents said they would be undertaking kiosk projects in the next six to 18 months.
The survey also revealed that about 44 percent of respondents spend $50,000 or less on their kiosk projects annually, 82 percent said reliability was extremely important in purchasing a new kiosk, and 90 percent of respondents identified children as part of their target market.
The magazine, which did not disclose in a news release how many respondents took part in the survey, plans to make the survey an annual event.
