ePaynews: Sandwich chain Subway is testing a payment card-enabled food-ordering kiosk at a drive-thru in northern Ohio, in what is said to be the second drive-thru machine of its kind in the United States. Other quick-serve chains such as McDonald's, Burger King, Arby's, Jack-in-the-Box and the Yum! Brands are evaluating the kiosk ordering system. Subway expects to increase sales at that store between 40 percent and 50 percent. Apart from speeding food ordering and payment processes at drive-thru lanes, the kiosk automatically adjusts to the height of each vehicle.
