The Stockholm Arlanda Airport yesterday began operating a self-service bag drop station, according to futuretravelexperience.com.
Passengers can check in, print their baggage tag at a self-service kiosk and attach the tag to their luggage. The baggage is then dropped at a self-service bag drop counter, where the passenger scans the barcode on the tag and follows a series of instructions shown on a screen, the article reported.
"We and the airlines have a common interest in simplifying travel. Self-service solutions are greatly appreciated, and this is a further step in finding and developing new solutions that simplify the flow at the airport and save valuable time for our passengers," said Lena Rökaas, COO at Stockholm Arlanda Airport.
